ABOUT ALGO VIENNA
ALGO - Association for the Promotion of Cultural Exchange and Peaceful Coexistence in Northern and Southeastern Europe
ALGO is a newly established European organization dedicated to intercultural dialogue, civic education, regional and youth cooperation.
ALGO draws on the long-standing experience of its founders in cooperation in post-conflict and transitional societies. ALGO’s founders have worked extensively throughout the Western Balkans and Europe, implementing programs that connect grassroots initiatives with institutional partners to foster cross-border cooperation, promote reconciliation and European integration.
ALGO aims to have innovative projects - combining education, art and civic activism as models of sustainable cooperation between Austria and the Balkan countries as well as the European continent.
ALGO already has close partnerships with key institutions in the Balkans, including the Center for Balkan Cooperation LOJA (a shorthand for LOJA) and various institutions in Austria.
Her team's deep regional knowledge, linguistic diversity and strong ties to local civil society make it an essential bridge between the communities of the Western Balkans and Austria.
